Scouring the open houses section in the LA Times when I was a kid. Showing up to as many weekend open houses I could for a few summers, my eyes eager for inspiring interior design. Watching HGTV shows while studying flashcards for a neuroscience and medical degree. Taking an urban planning humanities minor (there’s a liberal arts requirement at MIT to guard us from being strictly numbers nerds). Iwas born in Los Angeles and grew up in its various hills and valleys, including the San Gabriel Valley, Conejo Valley (Agoura Hills / Oak Park), and the Westside (Santa Monica).

Embarking on a global adventure for study and work after college on the East Coast (which included neuroscience research in Spain and a medical degree in Australia), before coming back with a newfound appreciation for her hometown.
